Job Description
Do you enjoy challenges, hands-on work, and working independently? Are you resourceful and detail-oriented? Then this position is for you! As an Assembly and Service Technician, you’ll work closely with the Director of Operations and interact with the Plant Manager, customers, and users of our bikes modules. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to customer service are essential. The Vélo-Transit team Vélo-Transit there to guide and support you as needed.
Responsibilities
1. Assembly (in St-Alphonse-de-Granby)
• Disassemble handles in preparation for processing
• Install and program handles on modules
• Prepare modules for delivery (functional testing, general inspection, quality control, lamination according to customer requirements)
• Monitor and manage parts inventory
2. Delivery (Province of Quebec and Ottawa Region)
• Collaborate with the operations manager to plan deliveries
• Be present at the customer site to assist with unloading the modules (and loading, if required)
• Guide the carrier during installation
• Adjust and verify that the modules are functioning properly on site
• Demonstrate how the product works to the customer and assist them in getting started
• Collaborate with carriers as needed
3. Service Calls and Maintenance (Province of Quebec and Ottawa Region)
• Perform biannual cleaning of the modules (spring and fall)
• Perform service calls when customer service cannot resolve the issue remotely
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site

• Comfortable with manual labor
• Self-motivated, organized, and reliable
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Good interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Willingness to travel daily
